The one thing i miss most from other platforms, BB, iphone and winmo is the 'push email/keep online'
i suffer from short enough battery life as it is, so like to close all cards when the phone is idle

i would also like an alert sound when getting a new message, if my phone is in its holster and i dont feel the vibrate, then i dont know i have a message

This has probably been mentioned several times but the application needs to be able to run in the background with notifications. It could really do with some polish also. It is really barebone.

It only seems to have :) and :( and they look nothing like the MSN smiley or sad face. :P doesn't do a thing, neither do any of the others...

You should check out the msn plugin on precentral. It works much better than this imo. I use it over this app. They need to update IM+ it to at least run in the background.

Thanks for the suggestion.. I've actually used that since it was very first released. It's alright but I hate that it seems to break every webos update and also it can't connect to MSN at the same time as another computer is logged on like this one can (well sort of can, its a bit broken). I agree, this one has a ways to go, but hopefully with the money they've won and the bigger userbase they are getting, they'll take us seriously.

I only use this MSN

1. I keep getting a IM+ Error Report #1 client not logged in or disconnected on timeout every 5 seconds, and it really annoying cause it makes a loud sound every single time.
Wish there was a way to disable that sound, I only want sounds from messages not error reports cause it takes up half my screen even when I'm not on that card, This is not how webOS programs should work, maybe something in the Notificatoin area would be a lot better.

2. Also would really like file transfers so i could send some people pictures that don't have MMS like me.

3. ability to rename contacts would be really nice. Maybe sync with my contacts list and find all the same email addresses and change their names to the contacts name or something.

4. When in chat mode should be different colors backgrounds for each persons text, like in the general webOS messaging centre and ability to change those colors as well.

5. Work in background would be really nice,

6. Ability to view contacts profiles on MSN, when I click on their name it doesn't give me any information. possible.?

7. When I click on chats, it bring down a menu for active chats chats open, I can not delete any of them. I should be able to swipe and Delete any conversation and erase it from my phone and system and start the chat all over,

Ability to initiate a chat with someone offline by typing their name
Ability to search contact list
Ability to close chats
Ability to specify Jabber/XMPP server options (server, port, etc)
+1 on the nofications staying in the notifcation area.
