Hello,

My request is specific to Beep and the topic is privacy. I'd prefer that Beep not scan my address book nor auto-add me to someone else's list of Beep contacts just because they happened to have me in their contacts from 10 years ago.

I'd like to see improvements along the lines of the following:

    • option to opt out of "auto-add" all together (so 'adding' new contacts would work like a traditional texting app where I select the users mobile number from my contact list (like Messages)
    • option to block my account from being auto-added to other users Beep contact lists.

Thank you,

James

Here are few suggestions that will make this app even better:
1) The ability to change the font size and style
2) The ability to lock the app so nobody could read my messages
3) The ability to register on odnoklassniki.ru to chat (similar to vkontakte.ru)

Thank you guys
P.S when is the next update and what will it include?

These features are on our to-do list.

Odnoklassniki will be added with the upcoming release which is estimated in a week or two.

Also it will be nice if you could integrate the contacts from Iphone to the beep
so it will be easier to send SMS from the existing phone contacts

For now only communication between Beep users is possible. Beep looks for existing Beep users in your address book and adds them to your contact list automatically.

Hi there!
Absolutely loving the app.

Do you have any plans of facelifting the iOS version?
Android IM+ looks soooo much cleaner and nicer in comparison to it's iOS brother...

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

my request is a small addon for the jabber-service. If you are using your own Jabber-Server with XEP-136 - Message Archiving-Support, e.g. OpenFire, ejabberd, Prosody IM, then it would be great if you can access and store the message history on your own server.
We have an OpenFire server for the company-communication. So it would be great feature if our users can read their history also with a mobile device.

Regards

I'd love to see a option that will automaticly loggs you out when you kill the app, but you remain online when you only close it. When you kill the app now, it Will keep you logged in and then I forget i am still logged in. And then i wake up at 2 in the morning because somebody says: hey you neer to go to sleep man!

So a option: kill app -> auto log off

First, IM+ is my favorite chat client for my iPhone/iPad. I've tried it versus other free and paid apps, and I keep coming back to it. I love it for its stability and easy to navigate UI. There is just one thing that has been somewhat bugging me for the past couple of years that I keep hoping I'll see added. I've noticed there have been other requests for this feature dating back over a year, so I figured I'd add my voice to these requests, and maybe help re-spark interest:

I would love it if I could set custom sounds for my chats using global sounds from my iPhone/iPad (i.e., not just the sounds available in the IM+ library). I'm not a fan of any of the sounds available natively in IM+ as I find all of them too long and intrusive for when I'm in a quiet work environment with other people. I have a selection of text message alerts that I've purchased for my iPhone that are very short, simple, and non-intrusive that I would love to use for my instant messages as well. I know there are many other 3rd party apps that have no problem accessing these sounds, so I'm assuming there is no Apple App Store regulation barring such a feature. This feature would pretty much perfect IM+ for what I use it for.

Thank you!

Hi there,
I recently began using IM+ after I bought my iPad and I'm loving it, though there is a feature from my previous client, Trillian, that I miss and its the ability to group IM accounts from Facebook, MSN etc into one contact.

For example, rather than John Smith on Facebook, johnsmith2010@etcetc.etc on MSN and John Smith on Skype it would be able to group them all into one John Smith and will send the messages to whichever account is online/preferred.

This helps to remove a lot of the clutter from the contact window and lets you see which PEOPLE are online rather than which ACCOUNT is online.

Thanks for hearing me out, keep up the great work on the app.
