How can I update to latest version

I am using a Nook color with software version 1.4.1 I bought IM+ but it is only version 4.2.0 is there a way I can update it to the latest version? I clicked the link in the browser when I checked support but nothing happens.

It is a special IM+ version on Barnes & Noble Store and you can get it only from its web-site.
