+1 to this.
Personally I think it would be better without the blue round-square, just yellow IM+ thing with some shadow...

But, isn't current notification icon good enough? Maybe you could add some icons with various colors and let users choose.

I don't think so. The icon used to be like you're saying in version 3.x and it looked pretty ugly compared to other launcher icons. Having only logo is too simple => not that good. IMHO.

I knew someone will come to this idea!
For example, TitaniumBackup has this option configurable in Settings (because colorized icon will look better on Samsung TouchWiz ROMs, for example)

these are four things that will make this app the undisputed best multi messenger ever IMO:

*1) enable an option to notify when a contact gets online (when the app is open, not on push)

2) notify when the contact is typing

3) add BUZZ for the services that have the feature, like Yahoo! messenger.

*4) a setting that will force the app to close and exit automatically and goes into push mode after an optional amount of idle time (a great battery saver)

the stared ones are the features that I haven't seen on any messenger app yet.
also an scrolable widget would be nice to see the online contacts, but it will be a battery killer widget so wouldn't be that necessary.

We really need an option to change color schemes at least, so amoled users can save battery juice. Chatting for hours with white background drains the battery way quicker than it would with a black background...

Pls stay open the windows chat if the app disconnects. I hope you fix it in the next version.

I have a problem with my avatar in windows live msn. Sometimes its ok but others the app show me the default blank avatar in my display and also I've noticed that the app shows me the same blank avatar for contacts which are connected from blackberry windows live msn.

I dont know if its my phone or its a bugs app.

Sorry for my english.

Thnx

Add option to select either "push" or "log out" when exiting without going into the settings.

At times I want to exit IM+ completely and at times I want to enable Push. To do so, I have to go to the settings and change the option every time, which is very cumbersome. However, this could be made a lot easier by doing the following:

In the exit confirmation message we get a different confirmation message depending on whether push is enabled or not (which more or less say "do you really want to exit and disconnect all services?" or "do you want to exit but enable push?"), and there are three buttons: 'Don't ask', 'Yes' and 'No'.

However, you could combine both options, such that when you chose 'exit' in the menu you have 4 buttons now in the confirmation window: 'Don't ask', 'No', 'Exit' and 'Push'. If you press 'Exit' you quit completely and if you press 'Push' Push mode is enabled with the settings you have defined. If you chose not to show the confirmation window, IM+ should remember the last option and use that one.

This would make IM+ a lot easier to use (at least for me, heh). :oD

Thanks!

you're right, but maybe something other than a round square? round square is basically for iphones, and there are too many apps with round square icons WITH DIFFERENT SIZES in android. this is a big no-go in view of consistency. without those round square icons, apps look a lot better, it's like having originality. just a personal thought, but round squares are UGLY in android, especially when you have a lot of round square icons with different sizes as mentioned above.

maybe um, circle, or yes, anything other than a round square. lol.

hmm, yes maybe you devs can open a contest for the app icon on this forum :)

I second this as well - this would make it one quick way to exit while being able to select push mode or not. This is one of my most commonly used things I use with IM+, so this would help immensely (using Victoria's workaround to set Offline is still an extra step! A lot of the other popular IM apps have a quick option like this too, so other users obviously like that too...

Yes! At the very least, have one choice of dark vs. light...we don't need a ton of options. This is at the top of my want list.
