Oh please, bring back the bullets (small dots) at the beginning of each message.
Users tend to omit periods at the end of each message and it is a lot of pain distinguishing each line sometimes.

And please also bring back the different message background colors for the other side. In 4.x, messages from the other side were with dark background, so it was a lot easier to distingush mine and the others.

In summary, this is what i'm suggesting

Other chat/communication apps provide themes.

So you can choose between several and you are able to configure/create your own. That would be nice.

Because, I don't want to have a bullet, but I like the idea to have different collors for the text written by the other and me.

please provide an undo feature similar to the one found in gmail application.

i was about to delete a contact but my contact list wasnt finished loading.
it resulted in deleting a contact from my list but i dont know which one from which account !
( the one i selected on long press is still there :'( )

in some im clients when you type in your auto-away massage "away since %time%" - time, when auto-away was set is shown, but it doesn't work with im+ :(

and i have 2 ideas:
1) an option "go to away after (5,10,15,30,..etc)"
2) back to online when option returning from push if "auto-away when going to push" is activated

I'm using th push mode.

If I start IM+ it takes up to 30 seconds, until IM+ is reconnnected to the IM+ server and loaded all my contacts (~300) from the servers (7 connections are configured). Sometimes it takes longer... Especially if I don't have a high speed WiFi connection but only a slow GPRS connection...

The funny things is, as I use push, the IM+ server is already connected to every server (Skype (okay, bad example, because the connections is very often lost), ICQ, Jabber, Google...).

So please improve here the performance. Use the push protocol to get the current state of contacts (if one is added or not), update the list in background and provide an instant IM+ start, like Skype and WhatsApps provide.

It would be nice, if there is way to enter the feature requests in a structured way and vote for the features.

So it would be possible to discuss one FR. I don't know, how often the same or almost the same FR is already entered in this thread.

Currently I've to open the contact, then to open the menu and then to tap on history, if I want read previous messages.

Please provide th history in the chat windows itself like imo, WhatsApp it does. To avoid to show to many messages, you could implement a feature like Facebook and Business Calendar have implemented: I see a lot of the history, then a reach the current top, and if I force a second scroll up, the next "page" of history ist loaded.

Would be very nice.
