I have tried "ALL" the options described above (including using a MAC and Windows desktop) both running the Yahoo stand alone App and the web-based option.

After all tries, I deleted and re-created the IM+ Yahoo Messenger account on my IPAD. It still does not connect and I get the same message (Connection failed ... blah blah blah ... review Terms and Conditions ... etc).

It's not that $4.99 was a big price to pay, but I REALLY LIKED this APP when it WORKED.

Please provide a fix.

Thanks.

Please try to connect to Yahoo! again and after the error message appears please send us your IM+ log file
selecting "I have another question" option under More / Info / Support.
Your IM+ log file will be automatically attached to your support request.

Has this been resolved? I've tried all of the recommendations offered but I still can't log in.

Please try to connect to Yahoo! and then send us a log file from About / Support (About / Feedback) from the menu.
Please provide more description for this situation in the Description field while sending the request.

Uhm, no, do not do this if you have no desire for the Yahoo! "All your SPAM are belong to us" IM Client installation!

Simply log into your Yahoo! website as you normally would via your web browser as noted by SirGCal. Thanks for the heads-up! But still, I was unable to login to IM+ after simply accessing the new YAHOO! Web IM; which is now integrated into YAHOO! Web Mail. I had to actually go to the Account Info screen and modify settings there. To do this, simply follow this guide.

☼ After logging into the YAHOO! website, go up to the drop-down menu which is located at the top of your screen where it states, "Hi, LOGIN NAME▼" and left-click on it.
☼ Go down to "Account Info" and left-click on it.
☼ On the new screen, you'll see all your account settings; one of which is "Manage Apps and Website Connections" and left-click on it.
☼ After getting to the new screen, left-click on REMOVE for any and all websites and such that you no longer wish access to your YAHOO! account. I removed all of them since there is a new YAHOO! Terms of Service aggreement.
☼ As soon as I did this, I restarted the IM+ Instant Messenger and I was then connected to YAHOO! IM services immediately.

I highly recommend that ShapeServices' Representatives do not advocate that people install YAHOO! IM Client. First, it goes against the very reason we use and support IM+ Instant Messenger. We wantd something better and something that wasn't a SPAM machine. Feel free to add my above guide into a ShapeServices' FAQ; as I'm sure this won't be the last YAHOO! ToS change, but please do not tell people to install that lousy IM client anymore!

These instructions worked perfectly for me, and I do agree with this poster's view of Yahoo IM!

I read elsewhere to not include the "@yahoo.com" when setting up the account. I used my entire address and it finally set up the account.
