Can we get perhaps a chance log for new update?

Postby CaliBoyPhillip » Mon Jan 18, 2010 8:32 am

I've noticed there is pretty much 2 weeks left before the end of January and since we will be getting an update according to ShapeService Victoria sometime in January. I wanted to with all respect please request that we can get a log as to what will be released with this update, just as you guys did with Iphone users by posting them a chance log in there forum. I hope this request can be reviewed and nicely accepted since this update isn't so far away.

Thanks!

So I see 7.6.1 has been released now, but still the changelog has not been updated...

I noticed skype chat support is new, a higher quality icon, but what's more?

Here's hoping for offline messaging for all services (especially msn and gmail)!
Also replying to contacts who are in the "invisible mode" or "appear offline" as msn calls it. Right now it is impossible to reply to them! And unfortunately everything still is as un finger-friendly as it has been for years :( (especially the different services icons and the dialog tabs)

This is mainly what I've seen, too. I've been testing it out on my phone for a couple hours now. One thing I did notice is that I can actually connect to Facebook now. After reaching 100+ friends, I took the account off my phone because it would disconnect, try reconnecting, and freeze up my whole phone. So far, so good, which is pleasant. Also, I noticed I have the option to send an away message or not while I'm in push mode. Really appreciate this, since no one understood why they were being sent "default" when I blanked out that line. I'll admit I was hoping for a bit more, though. Blocking on AIM, offline messaging, etc. It is nice to see the program being more stable (for my phone, at least). Hopefully we'll get the change log soon.

7.7.1 improved offline messaging but it's not perfect yet!

Thank you very much, it is indeed improved in version 7.7.1. Still not perfect though; look here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=523#p2567
