Can IM+ Pro auto update independent of the Play Store?

I bought IM+ Pro direct from SHAPE services, since paid transactions are not supported in the United Arab Emirates.

My concern, can IM+ Pro auto update independently like Grooveshark does, bypassing Play Store. Essentially like a PC app?

So it seems there is no auto update or even a notifications feature to inform IM+ Pro users, when an update might be available.

So I'll have to manually check, download and install, when updates are released.
